Attorney Vesna Cukrov, the founder of the law firm, possesses extensive professional and leadership experience across various fields, which enables her to swiftly identify potential solutions and achieve the goals pursued by our clients.<\/strong><\/p>

In both 2021 and 2025, she received recognition from the prestigious international legal organization Leaders in Law<\/em>, both time earning the titles \u201cGlobal Awards Winner\u201d<\/strong> and \u201cPublic Procurement Expert of the Year in Slovenia.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>

She is the founder of the law firm, an attorney, former President of the National Review Commission, a court-appointed expert in law and public procurement licensed by the Ministry of Justice, and former Vice President of the Supervisory Board of the Holding Slovenske Elektrarne (HSE).<\/strong> In addition, she is one of the leading experts in public procurement law, investment law, commercial law, and construction law, as well as a seasoned lecturer. Her extensive career spans roles as an attorney, President of the National Review Commission, executive positions in business, Secretary at the Ministry of Justice, work in the prosecution service, and experience at DRI (the Slovenian infrastructure development agency). She is co-author of the commentary on the Public Procurement Act (ZJN-3) and has published numerous articles.\u00a0She also holds a certificate of competence for board and supervisory board members of commercial companies.<\/p>

The National Assembly appointed her as President of the National Review Commission in 2008, a role she held until the end of her term. Prior to this, she worked at the Faculty of Economics at the University of Ljubljana. In 2004, she was appointed by the National Assembly as a member of the National Review Commission, serving from 2004 to 2006. She was also employed at DDC, now known as DRI \u2013 Investment Management, Infrastructure Development Company.<\/p>

From 1998 to 2004, she first served as State Undersecretary and then as Secretary at the Ministry of Justice, where she led the Logistics and Investment Sector for Judicial Bodies. Before that, she held executive positions in the private sector and worked at the Higher Court in Ljubljana and the Higher State Prosecutor\u2019s Office in Ljubljana.<\/p>

She has participated in the drafting of several regulations and is a highly knowledgeable expert in legislative procedures. She occasionally lectures (including at the Faculty of Law and the Faculty of Economics at the University of Ljubljana) and participates in expert panels covering the specialized areas of her law firm.<\/p>

She studied at the Faculty of Law, University of Ljubljana, in the international law track, where she also graduated and passed the state bar exam after completing her studies. During her time as a student, she worked for the news program at RTV Slovenia.<\/p>

Attorney Vesna Cukrov inherited her love for law at an early age from her mother, Marjana Lubej<\/strong>, Master of Legal Sciences from the Faculty of Law in Ljubljana and former director of several major commercial companies (including Tkanina, d.d.).<\/p>
